“Beacon provides so many amazing opportunities for leadership. I started the Theatre Club, and in that, we were able to create, write, and produce our own fantasy comedy musical, Legend of the Phoenix. Seeing everyone's creative aspirations and bringing everyone together to create this production was truly an incredible and inspiring experience.”

— Calinda Strayhorn

“When I first transferred here, I spent most of my time by myself. However, after starting the Dungeons and Dragons club and working as an Orientation Leader, I have found people that bring out the best in me.”

— Chiara Ferrante

"Since coming to Beacon College, I have grown as both a person as well as a leader and academically. The impact of my student experience at Beacon has been nothing but memorable—through social activities and leadership opportunities, I will always be grateful for my time at the college."

— Joshua Hansen

Student Organizations

With most students living on campus, they are the backbone of the campus community as they explore new ideas and interests, create friendships, and develop leadership skills.

Leadership is an important aspect of student organizations at Beacon. Student organizations are spearheaded by students with a faculty or staff member serving as an advisor. Students are responsible for managing their own budgets, organizing events, and maintaining cohesiveness in the group. Will you be one of our next student organization leaders?

The hard part will be deciding where you want to spend your time. With a wide variety of clubs and organizations ranging from academic to cultural and service-oriented to faith-based, you’ll be active and involved in your Beacon community. Don’t see an organization that interests you? Create a new one based on the unique and changing interests of the student body!
