of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and the New South Athletic Conference
In 2023, Beacon College took a significant step forward in the evolution of our athletics program with admission into the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, a national small-college intercollegiate athletic league. In 2024, Beacon joined the New South Athletic Conference providing additional playing opportunities within the USCAA.
Our athletics options include opportunities for every member of the Beacon community to play in our no-cost intramural sports program. It’s a fun way to interact with other students, faculty, and staff while blowing off some steam. Offering full schedules of team and intramural athletics, students are encouraged to participate through our Fitness and Recreation Department.
Beacon College is now recruiting new players for competitive teams in Fall 2024. Prospective students and families are encouraged to learn more about scholarship opportunities and the application process.
RecruitmentAs the centerpiece of The Beacon Promise Capital Campaign, the construction of an $8.5 million, 28,000-square-foot Intramural & Fitness Center is critical to enhancing our students’ physical wellness and quality of life. While physical activity is important for all, it is especially important for Beacon College’s neurodivergent student population.
Go to BeaconPromiseLocated in Leesburg’s historic train depot, the fitness center provides new, state-of-the-art equipment, personal training, group fitness classes, and intramural activities. All fitness programs at the center are free for students. The Fitness Center also coordinates weekend outdoor adventures.
Located near the Fitness Center, most intramural sports games are held on the athletic field. From soccer to frisbee, students enjoy a fenced field with bleachers.
