Position Reports to: Director of Career Advisement, Development, and Partnership
Specific Responsibilities: The Coordinator of Career Partnerships shall be responsible for performing the following functions and activities:
- With support from the Director of Career, Advisement, Development, and Partnership, establishing and implementing a Career Partnerships strategic plan, including short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, benchmarks, and operating procedures;
- In collaboration with the Director of Career Advisement, Development, and Partnership and Beacon College faculty, develop and maintain a network database of potential internship/volunteer/employment opportunities;
- Develop Employer Career Partnership Agreements with local, regional, and nationally recognized organizations;
- Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and campus departments to identify student candidates for Career Partnership opportunities;
- Develop and oversee marketing strategies and resources to successfuly operate the Career Partnership Program;
- Visit Career Partnership prospective and current employers to establish and reinforce partnerships;
- Coordinate the annual Beacon College Career Fair and secure attendance, in-person and virtual, from companies and organizations from a wide array of industries who are actively seeking to hire new employees and/or recruit interns and promote events;
- Collaborate with Career Development faculty and staff to prepare students for career fairs;
- Evaluate events to measure satisfaction and effectiveness;
- Coordinate attendance and transportation to the Diversity Job Fair in Orlando and promote local/on-line career fairs/resources for job seekers with disabilities;
- Represent the Career Center at Open House events, Parents’ Weekend events, and other events as directed by the Director;
- Participate and collaborate on the annual Summer Career Internship program;
- Compile data from a variety of sources for the purpose of evaluating program success and/or compliance with administrative requirements;
- Attend bi-weekly team meetings with Career Center Staff, Career Development Faculty, and Career Development Integration Manager;
- Exhibit professionalism in a customer service-oriented environment;
- Become familiar with all College policies and procedures and comply with these policies and procedures;
- Participate in all required College-wide and Divisional meetings, training, and events as made known by institutional policy, the Board of Trustees, the President, the Provost and/or the Director;
- Seek and engage in professional training (with the Provost’s approval, if required by College policy) to develop/enhance knowledge and skills that will benefit individual and communal performance in all institutional areas;
- Utilize secure, Cloud-based technology and software to enhance customer service and support student success; and
- Assume other duties as assigned.
Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field, Master’s Degree beneficial.
