The receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors, assisting telephone callers using proper telephone etiquette, and performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

Position Overview:
The receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors. Uses proper telephone etiquette. Performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
Primary Functions:
- Greeting visitors and tours
- Answering phones
- Various clerical duties and projects
- Must be able to work independently
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Welcome and assist guests and tours arriving at Beacon Hall.
- Assist visitors to the appropriate person or location on campus, sign visitor log sheets, hand out visitor badges, and disperse temporary Beacon parking permits.
- Answer, screen, and direct phone calls.
- Provide basic information to callers and visitors.
- Assist with projects or handle other duties as assigned.
- Ensure reception area is presentable and tidy.
- Receives external mail and packages, then sorts, and scans them in QTrak
- Receives internal correspondence and routes accordingly.
- Arranges pickup from UPS, FedEx, USPS.
- Able to coordinate with various departments.
- Maintain supplies for printer, postage machine, and fax machine.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortability with answering phones, greeting, and assisting guests
- General computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to multitask
- Business casual attire
- Punctuality
