Three Beacon College hospitality majors were accepted in October into the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World Resort.
Jahmir Frank, Alexandra Hegarty, and Christian Lucas in January will join the House of Mouse as participants in the esteemed Disney College Program, said Teri Hunter, Beacon hospitality instructor.
Through the paid five to seven month internship program, participants gain on-the-job experience working in Disney parks and resorts, broaden their skills in personal and career development classes, hone problem-solving, teamwork, guest services and communication skills, and network and live with team members from across the nation and the globe while living in Disney-sponsored housing.
Frank, a sophomore, is slated to apprentice in restaurants, Hegarty, a senior, in apparel and Lucas, also a senior, in hotels.
