Dear Members of the Beacon College Community:
We are all heavy-hearted by the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. This epic event hits particularly hard among the Beacon community, as several of our students hail from the Houston area. Our thoughts and prayers are with these students and their families as they deal with the immediate repercussions and long-term consequences of the storm.
As are many across America, Beacon is making a financial contribution to the relief efforts. Beyond this institutional commitment, we will provide an opportunity for individual members of the campus community to make a contribution as a supplement to the College’s gift. A donation box will be available at the front desk in Beacon Hall beginning on Friday, September 1 and will remain through Friday, September 15.
On behalf of the entire campus community, I will be reaching out to our Houston area students to express our mutual concern for the safety of their families, and a return for them and their neighbors to their everyday lives.
