Each semester, students are invited to submit written pieces for a contest in the Writing Center. Winners of the fall 2014 contest received Amazon gift cards, and their work may be read here. Jacob Pinkston, Director of the Writing Center, says, “We received many great entries in both poetry and fiction this semester. It is a shame that we could not have more winners because many of the pieces showed real talent. The Writing Center staff had a lot of fun reading them all. Beacon College clearly has some great budding writers that will hopefully continue to develop their skills at Beacon and beyond. I look forward to reading many more great works from students in the semesters to come.”
