About Sara Smith
Sara Smith is an instructor of anthrozoology at Beacon College. She has a Bachelor of Science in wildlife and fisheries science from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in anthrozoology from Canisius College.
Smith has experience working with animals through internships at the Pittsburgh Zoo and the Humane Animal Rescue Wildlife Center. She also studied wildlife conservation in Tanzania. After working as a biologist and animal caretaker in Dubai, she opened a pet store and exotic pet rescue in the U.S. Her research focuses on public perceptions of wildlife, with an emphasis on conservation, behavior, and management.
