Families who wish to get an early start on planning for college may wish to consider participating in this innovative program, which enables students to earn valuable scholarships throughout their high school years by engaging in a variety of academic, extracurricular and community activities. Beacon is proud to be among leading colleges nationwide participating in this program.
Starting your first year of high school, you can earn up to $8,000 in annual scholarship support (or a total of $32,000) to attend Beacon College. You can begin at any time in high school, and each year — even as late as the first-semester of your senior year!
What is Raise.Me?
Raise.Me is a resource that enables students in grades 9 to 12 to earn micro-scholarships for volunteer, academic, leadership and extracurricular achievements, and other select activities to prepare for college (such as a campus visit).
Each time you add a qualifying achievement to your Beacon Raise.Me portfolio, you earn a micro-scholarship to Beacon College.
How do I earn?
Eligible students can earn micro-scholarships for achievements such as:
- Participating in extracurricular activities or sports
- Volunteering in your community
- Holding a part-time job or internship
- Visiting the Beacon College campus
To receive these scholarships, you ultimately must apply (by February 1 of your senior year), be admitted, and enroll at Beacon College.
Is this a renewable scholarship?
Yes, your Beacon Raise.Me scholarship will be applied each year toward the cost of attendance for up to four years, as long as you maintain full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic progress. These funds are in addition to other financial aid for which you qualify.
