  • New Student Housing Application (available the first week of May): Students will receive the application via email upon receipt of their $425 deposit & intent to enroll form.
  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Academic Information Release Form (downloadable PDF)

February 22

Registration begins for the summer semester, May 9 – May 27, 2022. Students and families can find information about tuition and fees for the summer semester on page 14 of Beacon’s academic catalog [PDF download]. Studio Arts and Web & Digital Media students are registered for the summer semester by their academic advisors among the faculty, all other students by their learning specialists.

April 1

Fall 2022 new students will begin to receive their student SONIS Portal login information via email (if we have received their deposit and intent to enroll forms). Parents and students who have questions or concerns about their financial aid can schedule a financial aid meeting online here.

Students will begin to receive their 2022-2023 financial aid award letters (with final tuition amounts and amended federal, state, or institutional aid). Award letters are emailed to all email addresses available on the student’s 2022-2023 FAFSA. April 4-8

Returning students meet with their academic advisors for fall 2022 class registration.

May 1

May 1 is the enrollment deadline for newly accepted fall 2022 students. If you have not already, please:

The fall 2022 housing application for new students will be available the first week of May. New students who have submitted their deposit and intent to enroll will receive an email with a link to the housing application. Students should complete their housing application as soon as possible. A sample housing application can be found here for reference only.

May 7

The Graduation Ceremony for fall 2021 and spring 2022 graduates takes place at 11 a.m. at the Brownwood Hotel & Spa in The Villages, FL. Click here to view the schedule of events and more details.

May 9

Summer semester begins. The Career Immersion Program also begins on campus.

May 27

Summer semester and Career Immersion Program end.

May 30

Due to the record number of students taking classes during the Summer Term this year, the Center for Student Success will be preparing the post-final parent communication for all students after the end of the Summer Term.

June 15

Mailing of fall 2022 tuition bills begins and ebills become available in the student SONIS portal. All bills are due July 22.

New and returning students should begin to complete the required forms in the enrollment checklist prior to arrival on campus this fall. Students and families should download the Immunization Form and Physical Exam Form as soon as possible in order to have it completed by your local primary care physician. Other required health forms can be completed online prior to arrival.

July 1

The Student Health Insurance “Wellfleet” Opt-Out waiver is available after July 1, 2022. You must complete the form until you receive a confirmation code to waive the student health insurance plan. Failure to waive the health insurance will result in in the annual fee being applied to your fall 2022 billing statement.

June 29

June 29 is the deadline to register for the five-month interest-free monthly tuition payment plan. Parents and students can learn more and enroll online.

July 22

Fall 2022 tuition bills are due for new and returning students. (Please note: fall 2022 Foundations semester bills are due Sept. 1.)

  • There is still time to enroll in the four-month interest-free monthly tuition payment plans through Nelnet Campus Commerce.
  • Parents and students who have questions or concerns about their financial aid can schedule a financial aid meeting online here or call 352-638-9792.
  • Parents and students who have questions about payments, payment plans, or coordinating payments from a 529 can call the business office for assistance at 352-787-8068.

July 29

August 10

All steps to complete your financial aid should be completed by new and returning students prior to arrival on campus. Please be sure to accept or decline your financial aid in the student SONIS portal and complete any paperwork required for loans or scholarships.

August 14

Navigator PREP students are welcomed to campus for check-in and pre-orientation activities.

August 15

Students new to Beacon in fall 2022 are welcomed to campus for check-in and orientation.

August 15-21

New student orientation activies will take place on campus. Schedule and details will be available shortly.

August 19-20

All returning students are welcomed to check-in on campus for the fall 2022 semester. Please note: commuter students who live off campus are still required to check in. Details of returning student check-in will be available soon.

August 29

The add/drop period for the fall 2022 semester ends on Aug. 29. All Veterans’ Benefits will be certified through the federal system (typical processing time is 30-days) and fall 2022 loan disbursements will begin. Students and families can log into SONIS to view a finalized billing statement if needed.

Please note: Students who drop below full-time (12 credits per semester) jeopardize their original financial aid awards and may receive notification of adjusted scholarship awards via email. Parents and students who have questions or concerns can schedule a financial aid meeting online here.

September 1
