Community Services

A variety of recreational and enrichment activities can be found throughout Lake County and in the Central Florida region. Leesburg and its surrounding communities of Fruitland Park, Lady Lake, The Villages, Clermont, Tavares, and Mount Dora host frequent art and festivals year-round. The City of Leesburg devotes 15% of its land to parks and recreation activities; students may enjoy local public swimming pools, tennis courts, biking/walking/jogging trails, ball fields, picnic pavilions, and waterways. The county boasts over 1,400 lakes, which provide access to kayaking, canoeing, water skiing, boating, and fishing. Beacon College is conveniently located within short distances of shopping, dining, and entertainment venues.
