From orientation through final exams, Student Services plans numerous exciting and entertaining activities and events where students explore, create, laugh, relax, and socialize. Whether you are interested in nature and outdoor adventure, cultural activities, or sporting events, there is something for everyone!
Out of classroom experiences are instrumental in the personal development of the well-rounded individual. At Beacon, activities and events are intended to allow students to explore, create, engage and, yes, learn!
Activities often involve global/cultural awareness, relationship building, health and wellness, and leadership education. Additionally, the College regularly hosts a variety of activities in the Lake County and Central Florida area that include participating in outdoor/nature experiences and attending sporting events and cultural/ethnic festivals.
The Beacon Activities Council, along with the support and advisement of the Coordinator of Student Activities, plan, schedule, and carry out college-sponsored co-curricular activities.
Some activities, such as local theater or sporting events, may require students to pre-pay a portion or full price for admission tickets. Sign up instructions are listed on the calendar or on event flyers.
