Beacon College is dedicating its energies and resources to the safe resumption of on-campus teaching, learning, and campus life. Our concern for the health and welfare of our students, staffers, and visitors undergirds this effort to return students to the campus they love. Of course, the best of planning may be altered at the direction of public authorities.
The College is deeply engaged in preparing for a summer session and fall semester that aligns our “high-touch” educational experience with the safety precautions and protocols we’re instituting to safeguard our campus community. While no institution of higher learning can eliminate all risks, we are dedicated to introducing every reasonable mitigation strategy available to protect our students, employees, and those beyond our campus.
For students coming to campus for Fall 2020, please review Back to Campus Frequently Asked Questions for your reference.
Beacon’s fulsome COVID-19 policy can be viewed here. The College will update policies as new data-driven information becomes available from national and state health agencies, as well as the evolving network of organizations devoted to safeguarding higher-education communities. Thus, we invite you to visit this site regularly to stay current in your preparations for returning to campus.

As we have learned over the course of the spring semester, external priorities beyond our control can alter our chosen course. In this currently dynamic environment, we hope this page serves as a regular reference point for news and updates about the coming collegiate year.
Convocation marks the ceremonial start of the academic year for our first-year students. Students receive advice from a variety of speakers on how to be successful at the college. Convocation is slated for Monday, August 17 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. under the tent near Beacon Hall. Join President George Hagerty, as well as faculty, and other incoming students for the ceremonial start to the academic year. Live stream will be available for this event.
Commencement for the graduating classes of 2020 has been postponed until May 2021. Visit the Beacon Commencement page for further details.
