About Stephanie Portalatin

Stephanie Portalatin joined Beacon College in 2025 as an instructor. Prior to joining Beacon, she served as a computer science teacher at Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park, Florida. She also worked at Miami Dade College as an assistant to the dean of academics. She is a creative professional passionate about books, design, and user-centered storytelling. Her passion lies in designing experiences whether on a page or a screen that connects deeply with the audience, starting with book covers that bring stories to life. She earned two master’s degrees, one in publishing and writing, and a second in digital media with a focus on UX/UI giving her a unique blend of editorial insight and digital design expertise. She believes great design should be both beautiful and functional, whether it is for print or digital experiences. She is always curious and inspired by stories — whether they are told through design, culture, or everyday experiences.
