About Sommer Mooneyhan

Sommer Mooneyhan is a licensed mental health counselor and serves as the assistant director of counseling at Beacon College. She has received training in anxiety, grief and loss, telehealth, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, autism and adoption competency. Mooneyhan discovered her calling to work in mental health while coaching and mentoring co-workers on how to utilize their strengths to achieve their personal and professional goals. She provides emotional support by integrating various treatment approaches to help students navigate their specific areas of concern, and she enjoys facilitating campus wide educational workshops to further support students on their holistic mental health journey. She has experience providing counseling services to a variety of individuals in various setting within the community.
