Intellectual challenge is at the heart of a Beacon education. We take this very seriously, but we are also very practical about it. Our nine bachelor’s degree programs are intended to prepare our students to find worthy work in today’s global marketplace. Additionally, we encourage students to explore their diverse interests through one or more of our 17 minors.
“Pursuing the life abundant” is the pervading theme that infuses everything we do at Beacon College. It’s something we take very seriously indeed.
At Beacon, you’ll be able to be the most that you can be. Both within the classroom and far beyond it, we nurture a vivacious learning laboratory that calls upon you to seek and cherish all of life’s richness.
On the fence about enrolling in our Intro to College Academics: Writing course? We invite students to “sample” at no cost the material that will help build them up in our full course!
The 8-week online Introduction to College Writing course provides current high school juniors and seniors with a dedicated small-class setting to develop the skills needed to plan and execute college-level writing assignments. This free event will provide a sample of course content, beginning with college expectations for constructing a Research Paper Thesis Statement.
Attendees will also receive a brief overview of the topics covered in the course and learn how this low-stakes, high-reward 8-week course will prepare them for the rigor of college down the road.
