HUM 3380 Thinking Politically Teaching Assistant

Position Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate and Length: $12/hr. One Semester/Spring 2024

Reports to: Dr. Zachary Isrow
Department Name and Location: Humanities – Education Building Room 4

Position Overview:
This Teaching Assistant role will serve as an additional course facilitator for the Thinking Politically course. This means taking notes in class based on discussions, assisting to lead course discussions, and helping students during office hours.

Primary Functions:
Assisting students in the course with coursework during office hours/peer-tutoring sessions. Helping Dr. Isrow take notes for students based on class discussions. Assist in facilitating course discussions.

  • Notetaking
  • Discussion leading
  • Coursework assistant
  • Prepping and planning
  • Reading course material

Requirements:
Student must have taken Thinking Politically before as well as at least one other upper-level course with Dr. Isrow.

The employee may be asked to perform duties not listed in the job description but which are considered to be essential to the employment position.
