Job Title: Peer Consultant-Writing Center
Position Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate and Length: $11/hr. One Semester Fall 2023
Reports to: Ray Nault
Department Name and Location: Robert and Jane Weiner Writing Center, Compass Center
Position Overview:
The Peer Consultant works with students who are seeking help to complete papers. Some light cleaning of computers and work areas is also a regular aspect of the job.
Primary Functions:
- Reading instructions together with students
- Reading papers aloud
- Checking for major grammar errors
- Keeping track of all visitors to the Writing Center
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Keeping track of all visitors to the Writing Center
- Responsible for greeting visitors, coming and going
- Responsible for reading instructions
- Responsible for reading papers aloud with students
- Responsible for checking grammar, punctuation, etc.
Requirements:
3.00 GPA
