Medical Team Staff (Nights and Weekends)
Summer for Success aims to give college-bound students who learn differently the skills, confidence, and preparation to successfully transition from high school. Through academic and residential programming, students work towards increasing self-awareness, problem-solving, and social pragmatic skills to proactively determine the optimal college environment.
The Medical Team Staff helps carry out a medical plan for the entire summer program put forward by the Health Coordinator. Operating under the Health Coordinator, this position helps support the implementation of medical interventions to ensure a safe campus. More so, this position is a key intervention team member as it relates to managing student concerns and parent communication.
The Nights and Weekend Medical Team Member works Monday – Thursday from 5 p.m. – 9 a.m. and Friday from 5 p.m. – Monday at 9 a.m. On Monday morning, the Nights and Weekend Medical Team Member will then turn over all ongoing medical issues to the Weekday Medical Team Member.
Salary Information:
- $2,500 (distributed over four pay-periods)

Essential Job Functions:
- Work in the Summer for Success Medical Center to manage minor and major health-related issues.
- Help implement the medication management program, including dispersing medication.
- Conduct necessary medical evaluations on students and staff to ensure a healthy campus.
- Document health-related concerns as it relates to student safety.
- Participate in on-call rotation with one other Medical Team member for overnights (Monday – Thursday 5 p.m. – 9 a.m. and Friday from 5 p.m. – Monday at 9 a.m.) for any medical emergencies.
- Participate in two weekend trips each weekend of operation as Medical Staff
- Attend all assigned meetings.
- Assist Health Coordinator to present at staff training (July 5-7)
- Assist Health Coordinator to present to families on Orientation Day (July 9)
- Attend the final ceremonial dinner (July 27)
- Understand all program policies, expectations, and procedures.
- Collect student data daily or as directed, in order to inform end-of-program evaluations.
- All other duties as assigned.
