HUM 3830 Thinking Politically TA – Spring 2023

Pay Rate and Length: $11/ hr. – One semester (Spring 2023)

Humanities, Room 4 Education Building

Position Overview:
This position will serve as a teaching assistant for Dr. lsrow’s Thinking Politically class in Spring 2023
Primary Functions:

This position will require the student to attend class sessions, assist students as a peer tutor, engage in notetaking and to facilitate class discussion.

  • Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Attend class sessions
  • Hold peer-tutoring hours
  • Facilitate class discussion on Canvas discussion board and in-class (when applicable)
  • Assist students who need help to answer questions when you know the answer or direct them to Dr. Isrow if you do not.
  • Complete notetaking for the class

Student must have taken Thinking Politically before and earned a grade of B or higher, and should have taken additional courses with Dr. lsrow to be familiar with content.

The employee may be asked to perform duties not listed in the job description but which are considered to be essential to the employment position.
