Pay Rate and Length: $10/hr. – One Semester – Fall 2022

Position Overview:
This role is designed to provide academic support and mentoring to students in the Florida Ecology & Conservation course. In addition, this individual will provide administrative support to the course instructor.
Primary Functions:
- Work as a tutor during Open Learning sessions and/or during faculty office hours.
- Attend one class per week to assist and sharpen skills needed for tutoring.
- Assist faculty in class preparation and course-related errands.
- Must operate within the guidelines and boundaries of confidentiality and FERPA compliance.
- Other duties related to course-operations as defined by the faculty.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Serve as an academic mentor and tutor for students in the Florida Ecology & Conservation courses.
- Assist faculty in class preparation and course-related errands.
Requirements:
- Must have completed ANZ 1326 & ANZ 1326L with a minimum grade of a “B” at Beacon College.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be accurate, punctual, and reliable.
- Must be professional and courteous to students, faculty, and learning specialists.
- Ideal candidates will have an interest in a career related to teaching, conservation, and/or human development.
