Job title: E-sports Assistant

Position overview:
Earn valuable work experience to gain a competitive edge for future internships and employment opportunities.
Primary functions:
- Maintain a safe environment for participants
- Help promote a healthy and active lifestyle as well as good sportsmanship to students
- Be able to set up for video game programming in the appropriate facilities
- Have a clear understanding of the rules of each e-sport and the policies of the Fitness and Recreation Department
- Be proficient with scheduling and bracket creating
- Be able to diffuse any arguments among players
- Maintain a high level of integrity with anything relating to Fitness and Recreation Department
- Be able to handle an emergency medical situation and notify the Professional Staff in a timely manner
- Report any issues with equipment, facilities, or participants to the Professional Staff
Requirements:
- A strong work ethic
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
- Have a passion for fitness, healthy living, sports, and/or video games
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and direction
- Have strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- A positive attitude
- A willingness to improve skills and learn from the experience
- A willingness to work with anyone, especially your co-workers
- PURSUIT OF GAME DESIGN MINOR PREFERRED; FULL-TIME STUDENT REQUIRED
