Beacon College is seeking an experienced full time faculty member to teach English and Literature in its Humanities Department starting in August 2025. This position calls for a candidate with a robust background in teaching general education composition courses at the undergraduate level coupled with a commitment to innovation in curriculum development. Competitive applicants must have a desire for designing and implementing effective educational strategies geared towards students with learning and attention issues.

The Position:
The Humanities department aims to hire an Instructor or Assistant Professor of English. The teaching load consists of 15 credit hours per semester, composed mostly of general education coursework but with the opportunity to offer electives on a regular basis. A May term and several college preparatory summer programs provide opportunities to teach classes for additional renumeration. Faculty members are expected to collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and teaching methods, engage in professional development activities to stay updated with the latest educational practices, contribute to the college by actively participating in college service activities and help determine and assess student learning outcomes.
