Campus Engagement: Shaping the Presidential Leadership Profile

As Beacon College prepares for the retirement of President George J. Hagerty, Ed.D., in June 2027, the search for our next leader is officially underway. Central to this process is the “Beacon Voice,” the collective input of our faculty, staff, and students.

• Listening Forum: On Wednesday, April 29, the Board of Trustees will host a campuswide listening session at the Palace Theater. Facilitated by Matt Kilcoyne of AGB Search, this forum offers our community a direct opportunity to define the qualities and experiences required for Beacon’s next chapter.
• National Search Partnership: The college has formally engaged AGB Search, a premier executive search firm, to ensure a diverse and highly qualified candidate pool. Principals Matt Kilcoyne and Dr. Kim Bobby will be working closely with the search committee throughout the year.
• Community Input: Faculty, staff, and students who cannot attend the forum are encouraged to submit their feedback via the internal community survey through May 4, 2026.
