In its wake, the unpredictable Tropical Storm Eta has soaked the Sunshine State as it quickly makes its way out of the state.
The Beacon campus fortunately sustained little impact. Tropical storm warnings for Lake county and the region were lifted at 10 a.m. with the Thursday National Hurricane Center update.
We are pleased to report that the Beacon community emerged safely from the storm.
Though the worst weather has passed, the college will continue remote instruction today. Our normal Friday schedule resumes tomorrow, as will in-person instruction.
Though today’s classes remain remote, students now are free to leave their rooms and move about.
Meanwhile, food service resumes this evening at the Student Center. Students will receive an email from the Office of Student Engagement and Success with additional details about tonight’s dinner service.
