Virtual Information Sessions

These brief and focused information sessions typically provide a more in-depth look at a given college readiness opportunity. Sessions are held monthly during the academic year for each type of college readiness program. Each session features the program director or representative and includes a live question and answer. These sessions are typically 45 minutes long and take place on weeknights at 6 p.m. Eastern time.

College Readiness Programs

Virtual Student Panels

The best way to learn about life as a Beacon student is from our current students! We offer 1–3 private, live student panel events each year for admitted students and their families to engage and ask questions about life on campus, classes and majors, and more. These sessions are typically less than two hours long and take place on a Saturday.

Financial Aid Webinars

Financial aid can be a large and overwhelming process for students and families to navigate. Our financial aid staff offers one-on-one meetings for prospective and admitted students at any time throughout the year. They also offer more general information webinars on topics such as completing the FAFSA, navigating financial resources like Vocational Rehabilitation, and others as requested. These sessions are typically 45 minutes long and take place on weeknights at 6 p.m. Eastern time.

College Readiness Workshops

A pioneer in college readiness for students who learn differently, Beacon College’s innovative Center for College Readiness offers several interactive workshops throughout the academic year. These workshops are designed to help students and families prepare for a specific stage in their transition to college with tools, tips, and resources for success. These sessions are typically 90 minutes long and take place on weeknights beginning at 6 p.m. Eastern time.
