How did you come to work with students who learn differently?
My previous college allowed me to work with students who learned differently during my first semester, but it was only a tiny percentage of students. Additionally, I’ve worked with a colleague with a learning disability for over 15 years. My family members have group homes for people with learning and physical disabilities, which inspired my interest in teaching college students who learn differently. In preparation for my first semester at Beacon College, I worked with Professor Fallon on teaching techniques and curriculum design for students with learning differences. I was blown away by my students’ intellectual conversations and level of engagement on my first day of teaching at Beacon College. My life’s purpose is to educate, and I get to do so with such an intelligent group of students.

Hobbies/passions
In my spare time, I love spending time with family and friends. Also, I love baking, singing, dancing, and traveling.
