How did you come to work with students who learn differently?

While working as a senior graphic designer in university marketing, I was approached by Beacon College. Through work experiences, I have worked alongside many that learn differently in team-based environments. In my first term at Beacon College, I used my knowledge and practice from my career in graphic and web design to teach students using visual-based learning strategies. As a full-time faculty member, coming from a design and marketing background, I find it valuable that students not only understand how to use the software successfully through application but also it is beneficial for students to make the connection between class utilization to real-world, visual-based marketing application.
