The Department of Student Services is committed to providing non-academic student support services and activities that contribute to the cultural, social, intellectual, moral, and physical development of the Beacon College students. The Office of Student Services provides a wide variety of activities throughout the year to promote student development, campus and community involvement, and to increase faculty, staff, and student interaction.
In order to produce well-rounded individuals, the Office of Student Services staff is committed to providing out-of-classroom experiences to enhance the environment in which students learn and to promote student growth and development in all areas of the student’s life.

Each month Beacon College students receive a calendar offering a wide range of activities that encourage peer interaction in a socially stimulating environment. Activities scheduled off campus vary from concerts, restaurants, movies, paintball, museums, dinner theater, beach trips, and regional professional athletic events.
On campus events include movie nights at the Student Center, karaoke, Poetry Night, the Town & Gown series, and seasonal campus parties and barbecues that celebrate specific holidays, the Super Bowl, Black History Month and other student based areas of interest.

In addition to a wide offering of student activities, Beacon College is proud of its diverse clubs and organizations that are well suited to meet the variety of different student interests.

The Dining hall is located in the Stoer Building, which is the only remaining example of pebble architecture in Central Florida. The Stoer Building features old world Southern charm with its French glass doors, original bookcases, marble fireplace and a wide wrap-around porch. Meals include everything from traditional Southern home cooking to our large salad bar and of course, cheeseburgers and french fries!

The Leesburg Regional Medical Center forms the nucleus of Leesburg’s comprehensive medical and health services which is located within one mile of the campus buildings. A fully staffed emergency service is operated around the clock.
The Leesburg Police Department headquarters is located directly behind the Beacon College campus.
From two fire stations, certified fire fighters offer protection throughout Leesburg.
The Leesburg area has many places to worship. There are a host of churches and synagogues available for students to choose from based on their religious faith.
Transportation is provided for college sponsored trips and activities. Other transportation needs are the responsibility of the individual student. Taxis are available for local travel and Lake Limo is an affordable means of transportation to and from the Orlando International Airport.
