Beacon College Institute for Critical Thinking
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) requires that each institution undergoing reaffirmation of accreditation to submit a Quality Enhancement Plan. The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a document, developed by the institution, that describes a course of action for institutional improvement that is directly related to student learning and crucial to enhancing educational quality. The faculty, students, and staff of Beacon College explored many possibilities for the QEP. With input from the whole campus community, Beacon College selected critical thinking skill development as the focus our QEP. Helping students with learning disabilities to think critically is crucial in functioning and competing in any and all aspects of society.
