Cultural enrichment activities and events can be found throughout Lake County, Leesburg and surrounding communities, The Villages, Fruitland Park, Mount Dora, and Tavares sponsor frequent art and theater shows. Leesburg devotes 15% of its land to parks and recreation activities and students enjoy local tennis, racquetball courts, biking/walking/jogging trails, ball fields, picnic pavilions, and waterways. The county boasts over 1400 lakes which provide access to water skiing, boating and fishing. Beacon College is conveniently located within short distances of local malls, movie theaters, restaurants, live music venues, art galleries, dinner theaters, museums and fitness clubs.
