Residence Life policies, programs, and services are intended to create connections among residents; celebrate the diversity of our community; and promote inclusion, discovery, and acceptance.
- We seek opportunities to give a voice to every member of the diverse Beacon College community.
- We take an educational approach to the many differences among us.
- We recognize that relationships can be built on common ground.
In campus housing, students are supported by a team of Resident Assistants (RAs), who are undergraduate, live-in members of the Residence Life Staff. RAs complete a rigorous application and interview process, and they receive on-going training throughout the year. Resident Assistants agree to abide by and uphold the Beacon College Student Code of Conduct.
RAs are responsible for maintaining an environment of belonging and success for all students. Resident Assistants hold duty hours nightly and remain on-call midnight to 8:00 a.m. for the unexpected, emergent needs of our residents. There is also a team of professional level staff who support Resident Assistants and who are on-call during evening and weekend hours.
