Financial Aid Counselor                

Beacon is currently recruiting for a Financial Aid Counselor, reporting to the Financial Aid Director. The Financial Aid Counselor will work with students and families to ensure the prompt, efficient, and effective delivery of services to Beacon students and/or parents seeking information about the financial aid process. The Counselor is responsible for maintenance of student financial aid files, coordination of all communication with assigned caseloads, coordinates the Federal/State Work Study Programs, and represents the department at recruitment and other events. The FA Counselor must be committed to confidential first class customer service to Beacon’s students and families.

Qualifications: Associates degree (Bachelors preferred) in Business, Education, or a related field plus 2-3 years customer service experience, preferably in a college Financial Aid office. Requires excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to prioritize workload. Requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Must be flexible in dealing with shifting priorities and be willing to work some non-traditional hours.

Web & Digital Media Faculty Member

Beacon is currently recruiting for a faculty member to teach Web & Digital Media courses within the Computer Information Systems Major.

The faculty member provides direct instruction and hands-on learning to create an engaging educational environment, monitors and assesses student progress, provides substantive feedback, and maintains weekly office hours. The faculty member works collaboratively with faculty and staff to enhance instruction, curriculum, student learning support and student success, while also participating in service to the community. Workload consists of five fall courses, five spring courses, and one four week summer course.

Qualifications: Requires a master’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of eighteen hours of coursework in a related area. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching graphic communications, web design, and digital media to college students with differing abilities.

Professional level competency is expected from among the following technologies and software packages: Digital Video Production & Non-linear Editing with Apple Final Cut Pro X, Motion Graphics/Animation, 3D/Maya/3DS Max/Blender, Graphic Design/Branding, Photography, Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, HTML/CSS, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects. Ability to teach introductory courses in Game Design is a plus. Training in learning disability education is provided by the College.

Dining Services Cook

Salary: $15.00/hour (part-time), depending on experience.
Shift: Flexible hours; provide support on occasional weekends and special events. 10 Month Position. Reports to: Executive Chef

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing daily specials, cooking and short-order production.
• Providing excellent customer service to students and the campus community.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Culinary Training
• Associates Degree (bachelor’s degree preferred)
• ServSafe Certification

A background check and drug test will be conducted and must be cleared.
