Dean Of Student Affairs
Beacon College was the first undergraduate institution in the United States accredited to award bachelor degrees exclusively to students with learning disabilities and/or ADHD. We are committed to student success, offering academic and personal support services that help each student achieve his/her life goals. Beacon College is a growing community that is welcoming, accepting, and supportive of each community member. Set in the historic downtown of Leesburg, Florida, amidst beautiful lakes, Beacon College is close to Orlando and within an easy drive of many other points of interest in Florida. Beacon College has an immediate need for a Dean of Student Affairs, reporting to the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs.

The Dean is responsible for the management and oversight of the Division of Student Services including direct supervision of the functional units of Housing and Judicial Affairs, Student Experience, and Health and Wellness and is charged with the development and maintenance of a healthy student culture. The Dean provides direct counsel to the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, as well as senior staff, on all matters under the purview of the Division of Student Affairs and collaborates with the Dean of Student Success in the development of sound, coherent, and comprehensive co-curricular programming that is consistent with the College’s distinct mission to a holistic approach to serving its students.

In consultation with the Vice President, the Dean establishes and implements short and long range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, budgets, annual reporting, and assessment activities in support of continuous operational excellence and in anticipation of the Divisional needs required by the growth of the College.
The Dean maintains a highly visible profile on campus and with external constituencies: engaging with faculty, students, staff, and alumni, while modeling exemplary customer service. The Dean oversees the Divisional response to campus wide emergencies and ensures compliance with Federal/State regulations and Beacon College policy, as these relate to Student Affairs.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in higher education administration, student development, or a related field with five years of progressive higher educational experience. A detailed knowledge of Federal/State regulations as they pertain to student affairs, knowledge of college student development theory and practice is needed. The position requires strong administrative, supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to work collaboratively within a diverse student community.

Dining Services Cook
Salary: $15.00/hour (part-time), depending on experience.
Shift: Flexible hours; provide support on occasional weekends and special events. 10 Month Position. Reports to: Executive Chef

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing daily specials, cooking and short-order production.
• Providing excellent customer service to students and the campus community.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Culinary Training
• Associates Degree (bachelor’s degree preferred)
• ServSafe Certification

A background check and drug test will be conducted and must be cleared.
