Beacon College Students Enjoy a Day at the Austin Carriage Museum

March 11, 2013

On February 28th, Beacon College students enjoyed a day at the Austin Carriage Museum in Weirsdale, Florida, where they learned the history of exquisite carriages, automobiles, fire equipment, horse paraphernalia, and historical attire. Located in a picturesque country setting surrounded by beautiful thoroughbred horses, Gloria Austin, the owner of the museum, was very knowledgeable and provided information to Beacon College students to increase their connection to the past. The lessons included the importance of the horse to modern day society and value of hard work to achieve one’s goals.
Beacon College is very appreciative to Gloria Austin for imparting her wisdom to our students.
